Veterans Haven North

Trees For Me went back to the Veterans Haven North, a home for homeless Veterans in NJ, to plant six 6-feet tall Kwanzan Cherries.
It was heartwarming to see how the trees we planted in summer of 2021 had bloomed and we were thankful for the opportunity to collaborate once again in 2022 to plant more trees at this facility.

Trees For Me planted 1000 tree saplings in the Miyawaki Forest Model at the Indian Maritime University, ECR Road, Chennai.

In collaboration with "Vruksh Mitra", a sustainability arm of a large corporation in India, and Sare Jahan Se Acha Foundation, a not-for-profit organization based out of Pune in India - Trees For Me planted 100 saplings around the Mastani Lake area near Wadi in Maharashtra, India. To nurture the saplings, we also installed a 2000L water tank.

In collaboration with the local organization Vinisha's for Kolkata, Trees For Me planted 400 saplings on August 9th, 2021, in the villages of Ganga Sagar in West Bengal. Among the 400 trees, we planted black plum trees, Gulmohar flowering trees, almond trees, evergreen trees, and kadamb trees (which have Ayurvedic properties!). We are excited to see these trees grow and impact the local communities by promoting and fostering sustainability! The planting was carried out by young Bio Club members, promoted by PUPA, who have adopted the trees they planted.

On June 9th, 2021, Trees For Me planted 15 mid sized trees at Veterans Haven North, a home for homeless veterans in New Jersey. We planted Southern Magnolias, Crepe Myrtles, Eastern Redwoods, Japanese Maples & Kwanzan Cherries! We were very excited to partner with AT&T Oasis Employee Resource Group & AT&T Veterans Employee Resource Group to complete these planting projects.

On April 5th, 2021 Trees For Me partnered with the V.A. New Jersey Health Care System, Lyons campus. to plant 15 trees! A huge thank you to all our volunteers, as well as the Shirt Shop, a local business that created our T-Shirts, and to Vivre Designs for designing them! Additionally, MB Landscaping assisted us with the planting process, and we’d also like to thank the V.A. (Lyons Campus) for partnering with us.

"I am happy to share that in collaboration with treesforme.org, we planted 25 eastern redwood tree saplings in Chinmaya Vrindavan.
